I had an entire post typed up and ready to post then I suddenly get signed out and I lose everything. So I am now going to try to remember what I wrote a few minutes ago. With my Preggo brain, it isn't going to be easy. Yes, pregnancy brain is a real thing. I have experienced it with all my pregnancies. My memory is just gone most of the time!
If you understood the title to this post you will know I am now half way through this pregnancy. Which means I am 20 weeks along and there is 20 weeks until my due date. I enjoy counting down the weeks and days. I also enjoy watching my belly grow bigger and bigger. It only just lets me know that baby is growing bigger and stronger everyday. And she sure is getting stronger in there. She is making her presence known with little kicks and movements. She is getting stronger to the point that today I was able to feel her kick with my hand. Yes, I get excited feeling these first kicks. It doesn't matter if it is my first or my fourth. Those little movements are amazing. What else is amazing is that this baby girl now has a name. After thinking about it for a few days, she finally has a first name. All the kids names have been chosen by me. But this time the Hubby actually came up with a name that I liked. Baby girl's name will be Allison Faith. I had the middle name down for sure. I knew Faith had to be her middle name. And we could call her Alli too. So, Baby Alli is due in December. She will be our little Christmas gift from God himself.
Now, on to my weekend. There was no outdoor activities for us. Here in San Antonio, we had our hottest weekend. Heat index was well over 100 degrees. And there was no way I was setting foot outside my very cold air conditioned house. Now that I am beginning to show, all I want to do is just lay around and do nothing. So that is what I would've of loved to do but I had a cake to bake. After taking a little break for a few months, I finally had the energy to get back into the kitchen and bake up a 2 tier and some cupcakes. I did miss the smell of cake through out my house. It felt good getting back into the whole baking and decorating. It was fun and exhausting all at the same time. My first cake back was a Frozen Castle cake for a good friend of ours. Yup, my first cake back had to be a castle cake. But it wasn't stressful at all. I am very happy with the way it turned out. Plus, there was extra cupcakes. And who doesn't like extra cupcakes?!?! I know I do!
My weekend was a good one. I got to relax a little, bake a little, and get in some cleaning. I can say my floors are not covered in crumbs and random toys at the moment. But hey, my house isn't going to be spotless! I have 3 kids, the Hubby and my brother here. My house is lived in and it shows. Now, I am going to get back to my bottle of water since there is no more wine for this Mama, at least until baby is born and breastfeeding is well underway, of course. So, Good night, all! May you all have a blessed and pleasant evening!
