Yesterday at the Inn! Yes, I'm writing about yesterday because I got too tired to post last night and just fell asleep. So last night I popped open my bottle of Riesling, that had been sitting in my fridge just calling my name. If you don't know what Riesling is, it is a very yummy sweet wine. If you enjoy Moscato, you will like this one too. I'll save the wine talk for another day and another post . But for now, I want to share with you my day and another little craft that I found on Pinterest.
I have always been a very creative person and yesterday I noticed that E is a little creative person too. We had taken a little trip to the mall after homework was done. I have never seen her do her homework so fast. Shopping is a very good motivator! She wanted to cash in her allowance from the last two weeks. She added a new My Little Pony to her Build a Bear collection.
Once we got home, while dinner was cooking. E got to work on her Valentine Box for school. The whole time she was talking away saying how this was her first time making her very own box all by herself. I would usually help her. But not this year, she didn't want my help at all. It's a cute little box cover in pink construction paper, with her name spelled in glitter, and heart shaped clouds she made from cotton balls. After seeing the mess she left behind, I thought about maybe adding a little crafting corner to my office. Name it Mama Cakes Crafts. In time, I will work on that.
So now about my day, before the kids were out of school. I had a meeting for E at the school. There I learned that my little smart baby is reading at a third grade reading level. She is only in the second grade. Heard nothing but good things from her teacher. I adore her teacher! She is awesome with that class. I would one day want to be a teacher just like that. While shopping with E, I got myself some new running shoes. YAY!! I got the ones I had been looking at online. Was thinking about taking them out for a run today but had to do some cleaning and then some mopping. Housework is just never finished. With a one year old running around it seems like an unfinished task. So no runs for me today. But I will let you all know how that goes and if I survive that run. It has been a while since I've gone running.
Now, time to get to some crafts! So go on and click on the DIY & Crafts tab and have some fun. Remember to like and follow Mama Cakes Inn on Facebook, Twitter & Pinterest!
